This is a Skyscale mastery. Applies Rift Resonance upon successfully closing a rift. Following and gathering the entire trail of Volatile Magic orbs that spawn will lead to a lesser rift, granting a Mistborn Mote. In Bjora Marches, the orbs give karma instead of Volatile Magic, and the trail rewards 5 Eternal Ice Shards on completion.

Got it after somewhere between 16 and 19 nests. NOTE! All you get is an achievement credit notification. You don't actually pick up an item, so you won't see anything in the chat log and there's no graphical difference when you investigate the nest.
